The kid who wasn’t born with silver spoon in his mouth, but instead, a pencil clutched in his little-drool soaked knuckles.
The one whose imagination wasn’t just overactive but hyperactive.
The one who understood, at a young age, the magic of the written word and its ability to affect people.
I was that kid. Still am. Just a little older.

Alzheimer’s Association
The Alzheimer’s Association represented a cause very near and dear to my heart, as I"‘ve witnessed first-hand the devastation is disease can wrought in a family. Much of what I worked on was for a Colorado-based organization with the moniker, "AWARE”, or the Alzheimer’s Women’s Auxiliary for Research and Education. To note: I worked on one video for their yearly meeting which feature a young mother, no older than 45 with early onset Alzheimer’s. Even more heart-wrenching the fact that she had two elementary-school-aged children yet had to leave sticky-notes plastered all over kitchen to remind her about little things like turning off the over and closing the fridge. Unfortunately, I lost much of these elements when my week-old computer blew up!
